My Story
Like most artists, I was a creative child, but my artistic pursuits faded as I went to college in the STEM field. While I loved marine biology and the exciting things I got to do in that field, it wasn't easy. As a military family, it was difficult to stay in such a competitive field when we were moved so frequently. Shifting to animal behavior and eventually running my own dog training business became a wonderful way to continue helping animals in a fulfilling way. It was dog training that inspired me to capture animals and their personalities in paint during my free time.

Years later, I've been incredibly lucky to have the support of my family to pursue art full-time, and creating meaningful, heartfelt portraits of people’s beloved pets. Art for me has turned into something both fulfilling and sustainable.

Since then, I’ve been commissioned from all over the country and even internationally in Spain and Australia. I’ve also participated in several local vendor fairs here in Washington. It’s been amazing to see how stretching my creative muscles has evolved into a full-time career that combines my love for animals and art.
